Robert Clinton Dardeen

          Robert Clinton Dardeen, 58, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016.

          He was born January 28, 1958, in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Robert L. and Gloria Jean (Carnes) Dardeen.  Bobby Clinton was a 1976 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.  For 35 years he worked at Champion Labs and was looking forward to retirement.  He enjoyed traveling, loved his dogs-Bubby and Sissy, and was known for his loving ways and big heart. 

          Left to cherish his memory is his father, Robert; siblings, William D. and wife Mary Lou Dardeen, John W. and wife Katherine S. Dardeen, both of Mt. Carmel, Donald R. and wife Penny Dardeen of Florida, Stephanie Ann Troutt of Mt. Carmel; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Chris Sutton and his family. 

          Preceding him in death was his mother, Gloria.

          Family and friends may visit Monday, November 14, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home, 527 N Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

          The funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. also at Short Funeral Home.  Burial will immediately follow at Graceland Cemetery in Albion, Illinois.
