Elsie Louise Sayge

Elsie Louise Sayge, 87, of Fairfield, IL, formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, IL.

She was born April 7, 1929 in Mill Shoals, White County IL, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Bradley) Moutray. She married Loyde Sayge on August 30, 1948 in Mt. Carmel. He preceded her in death August 20, 1991.

Elsie graduated from Mills Prairie High School. She was a member of Heartland Worship Center. She devoted her life to raising her three children.

Left to cherish are her children, Sonja Hall and husband Phil of Fairfield, IL, Carmen and the late Charles Littrell of Rosiclaire, IL, and Loyde R. Sayge of Mt. Carmel; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; and sister, Delpha Hayden and husband Charles of Chapel Hill, TN.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband of 42 years; brothers Kenneth Moutray and Bill Moutray; and sister Velma Young.

Visitation for family and friends is Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Short Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
