We are so saddened to learn of the passing of Bette. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out and was the epitome of grace and kindness. We were honored to have her as a member of our family and always remember her ability to tell a great story. We are thankful she is at peace but will miss all that she was to us. Love to George, Nancy, Wesley and Adler.

Dear Mimi, I hope you are enjoying heaven right now - finally reuniting with all our loved ones. I know everyone has missed you so very much and will keep you company as you watch over your living legacies below. I bet you will be humbled and proud of the turnout to celebrate your life. You led by a very great example to others and for future generations to come. Everyone here has been touched by your gracious hospitality, delicious blue ribbon pies, and Christian values. I'm going to miss waking up to the smell of you frying sausages and eggs, making cinnamon toast, and coffee you would make during my many visits to Mount Carmel... mainly on the farm. I think this is where I got my love of coffee - it all started with the early morning requests for the chocolate milk you would put in my bottle at 5:30am while watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I will always admire your love of bird watching outside the kitchen window and extensive knowledge of all bird markings and songs. I will miss your home cooked dinners - including your famous chicken and dumplings, creamed corn, steamed carrots with melted cheese sauce, fried okra, dolly Parton chicken and green beans. Dessert was the best part...namely, your famous custard pie, pecan pie, and rhubarb pie. I look forward to replicating these recipes for years to come. I will miss you rocking me in the chair and singing "Climb Climb Sunshine Mountain". The visio. Of Walking into Rosalind's hair salon and seeing your adoring smile from underneath the retro hair dryer machine will forever be imprinted in my mind, not to mention your plastic rain bonnet to protect the fresh new doo. The smell of hair Spray will always remind me of your big hair as well. I will miss getting ready for Church with you on Sunday mornings - which would entail a lot of outfit coordination. I wish I had the patience and dedication to leave the house just as polished and poised as you. Just getting out the door with Adler dressed and fed every morning is a success for me. I hope you are watching down on us from the real sunshine mountain. I bet the weather is much better up there than it is in Chicago. Love you always! Miss you. Your proud grandchild, Westley Berman
