Melba Jean (James) Bosecker

Melba Jean Bosecker, 88, of Mt. Carmel, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family.

          She was born in Wichita, KS on Saturday, July 16, 1927, the daughter of Francis Miller and A. Lorraine (Wylie) James. Melba married Raymond Andrew Bosecker and he preceded her in death on Tuesday, November 9, 2010. They had sixty-seven years together.

          Melba was a member of Keenburg Christian Church.  She had a multitude of relatives and friends.  Her family was her most cherished enjoyment.    

          Left to cherish her memories is her son, R. Ronald Bosecker and wife Victoria of Hendon, VA; daughter, Lorraine Dishon and husband Kindell of Owensville, IN; seven grandchildren, Brett and wife Lisa Bosecker, Seth and wife Jill Bosecker, Mindy Gay and husband Todd Stawarz, Taya Villegas, and Mindy Rae Glover, Kristina Jean Harper, Michael G. Glover ; eight great grandchildren, Joshua Bosecker, Jacob Bosecker, Ashley Bosecker, Brian Bosecker, Tessa Stawarz, Sydney Bosecker, Tristan Bosecker, and Alec Hurst; one brother, M.R. and wife Janet James of  Bristow, IN.

          Proceeding her in death are her parents, Francis and Lorraine; husband, Raymond; and sister, Margie Bosecker.

          Visitation for friends and family will be held in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery.

          Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Keensburg Christian Church, 6216 4th Street, Keensburg, IL 62852; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
