David K. Deisher

David Kenneth Deisher, 71, of St. Francisville, IL passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab Center in Mt. Carmel.

He was born Sunday, January 28, 1945, the son of Clarence and Mildred (Anderson) Deisher. He married Phyllis Ann Ridgley on Saturday, July 7, 2007. She survives.

David was born and raised in the Church. He loved “his church”, Heartland Worship Center. He will be remembered for his love of music and singing. His favorite pastime was fishing. In his earlier years he would be found hunting rabbits and birds with his dogs but his love of fishing lasted his lifetime.

David served in the U.S. Army from March 12, 1963 until February 28, 1969. He was proud of his military service. He worked in the oilfield and as a truck driver for years.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Phyllis; children Crystal Deisher of Patoka IN and Derek (Stacey) Deisher of Mt. Carmel; step-children, David Ammon of Mt. Carmel, Dennis Ammon of St. Francisville, IL, Darryl Ammon of Hammond, IN; also Carrie Deisher, whom he thought of as a daughter; and was “Grandpa” to twenty-one Grandchildren and thirteen Great Grandchildren.

Preceding him death were his parents and brothers and sisters.

Funeral service and Visitation for David will be held at Heartland Worship Center on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Visiting for family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Francisville Cemetery, St. Francisville, IL
