Betty Rose (Huffman) Grubb

Betty Rose Grubb, 90, of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital, Princeton, IN.      

She was born February 10, 1926, in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Claude and Nora (Crooks) Huffman. She married Verne C. Grubb. He preceded her in death May 25, 1996.

            Betty worked at Potter & Brumfeld in Princeton, IN and also at Keensburg Amax Mine.

            Left to cherish her memories are her daughters Vicki Clawson of Mt. Vernon, IL and Jana (Gordon) Dickey Davis of Cadiz, KY; a granddaughter, Courtney Clawson and husband Aaron Bradford; grandson, Kyle (Layna) Dickey; and great granddaughter Aria Bradford.

            Preceding her in death are her parents; husband of 43 years, Verne; grandson Jared Clawson; sister, Juanita McGarah; and brother, Jim Huffman.

            Memorial Service for Betty will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home.

            Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Education Fund of Betty’s  great granddaughter, Aria, or the American Heart Association.
