Tony Lee Higgins

Tony Lee Higgins, 54, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital in Anna, Illinois, surrounded by the love of his family.

Tony was born June 27, 1970, the son of Robert and Betty (Sperry) Higgins in St. Louis, Missouri. He was adopted by Bill and Marlene Dooley of Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

He worked as a laborer for J.R. County Living Estates. Tony was a huge sports fan. He enjoyed bowling and listening to rock and roll music. Tony was a loving son and brother.

Surviving Tony are his mother, Marlene Dooley of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; siblings Vonda (Donald) Mounts of Owensville, Indiana, Janice (Jay) Wilson of Palestine, Illinois, and James (Marissa) Bobbitt of Tomball, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tony in death were his parents, Robert and Betty Higgins and stepdad, Bill Dooley.

Private family services will be held with burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
