Thomas "Bud" Spencer

Thomas “Bud” Spencer, 87, of Leesburg, FL formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL passed away May 16, 2024.  He was surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born to Thomas and Leona Spencer on November 9, 1936. After graduating from Mt. Carmel High School, Bud served in the Air Force before employment with the telephone company (GTE) where he worked for 35 years before retiring as a line supervisor.

Upon retirement, he and his wife Phyllis spent years traveling in their motor home before moving to Pennbrooke Fairways of Leesburg, FL where they became avid golfers and enjoyed their home on the golf course.

Bud is survived by his wife of 65 years Phyllis; daughters Kim (Tony) Lowe of Evansville, IN, Lisa Jordan of Palm Coast, FL and son Scott Spencer of Huntington Beach, CA; granddaughters Kailey and Maggie Lowe of Evansville, IN and Summer Jordan of Palm Coast, FL.  Also surviving is his sister Nettie Greek in CA and several nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by all.

Private gravesite service with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL June 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
