Thad Alan Raibley, 49, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away September 5, 2023, at his residence.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. when service starts.
Thad was born to Timothy Alan and Janice Emily (Herrin) Raibley on July 6, 1974, in Bloomington, Illinois. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1992. Surviving is his daughter Clare Ellen Raibley of Mount Carmel, Illinois, sister Andrea (Jonathan) Decker of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and beloved nephew Brady David Decker. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents James “Cheesie” and Betty Herrin and paternal grandparents Jim and Freda Raibley.
Thad was as a Union Carpenter for Local #224. He enjoyed taking his daughter fishing and riding bikes. Thad was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Memorials can be made to the Clare Ellen Raibley Educational Fund in care of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home.
