Rose Jones Obituary

Rose Ann Jones, 83, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family.

 

Rose was born August 15, 1937, the daughter of Leo H. and Bessie A. (Rice) Tromley in Vincennes, Indiana.  She graduated from Fritchton High School.  Rose was married to Amos Reed and he survives.

 

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Vincennes, Indiana and attended Hope Fellowship Church in Mt. Carmel.  Rose worked at Sears Department Store and later as a desk clerk for Vincennes University.  She loved being with family and was very involved in their daily activities. 

 

Left to cherish Rose’s memory are her husband, Amos; children Cathy (George) Luce of Vincennes, Indiana, and Lisa (James) Thompson of Princeton, Indiana; five grandchildren, Abram Luce, Adam (Olivia) Luce, Aaron (Carter) Luce, Christopher Thompson and Katie Thompson; and two siblings, Nancy Carnahan of Columbus, Indiana and Kenny Tromley of Vincennes, Indiana. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings Marlan Tromley, Marlene Riney and Janet Kitchell.

 

There will be a private family service.  Burial will be at Adams Corner Cemetery.
