Richard Reed III Obituary

Richard L. “Dick” Reed, III, 28, of Noble, Illinois passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born February 15, 1992 in Evansville, IN the son of Richard L. Reed and Cynthia K. Garner.

Richard married Ashton T. Pixley September 15, 2013 in Olney, Illinois.

He attended the Christian Church of Olney. He loved his children and enjoyed spending time with his family whenever he could. He loved playing guitar, fishing, skateboarding, and playing pool. He worked as a Bartender at Lucky Lady in Westport, Illinois.

Richard is survived by his wife Ashton; children, Bransyn Lee Reed, Lailyn Kae Reed, Teagyn Jean Reed and Karsyn Wayne Reed and Arrow all at home; parents, Richard and Shannon Reed and Cynthia (Garner) Frayser; brothers, Matt Baker of Mt. Carmel, Brandon Reed of Mt. Carmel and Christopher Reed of Lawrenceville; close family friend, Coleton Seibert; brothers-in-law Jordan Pixley and Dalton Pixley of Olney and sister-in-law Triston Mays of  Olney; mother-in-law Stacey Mays; father-in-law Chris Pixley; and maternal grandfather Gary Garner.

He was preceded in death by Smiley, sister Brittney and maternal grandmother Lois Garner.

The family will receive visitors at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home, 527 N Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, IL on Monday October 12, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home with burial to follow in Antioch Cemetery.
