Phyllis L. (Perry) Green

Phyllis L. Green, 84, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois was granted an audience with her precious Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. In witness were her biggest fans and the loves of her life, her children.

She was born November 24, 1937, the daughter of Estol and Sylvia (Chanley) Perry in Wabash County, Mt. Carmel Illinois. She was the third child and only girl surrounded by six brothers who both adored and feared her.

She was a graduate of  Mt. Carmel High School. She retired from SnapOn Tools after thirty plus years working as a tool inspector.

Phyllis  was devoted to her family. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, fanatical Skip-Bo player, enjoyed Nascar, reading, doing puzzles and gardening. Nothing was more dear to her than spending time with family.

Left to cherish Phyllis’ memory are her children, Pamela (Rob) Heddon of Paducah Kentucky, David M. (Corrinna) Green of Mt. Carmel, Jackie G. Baumgart of Mt. Carmel; grandchildren, Nick (Ella) Davis, Telisha (Jordan) Rayborn, Shelbe (Jennifer) Hadra, Kate (Evalee) Heddon; step grandchildren, Trenton (Shaintaile) Seibert, Trevor Seibert, Braden Dicus; great grandchildren, Dawson (Taylor) Grisham, Ryder Rayborn, Tateum Seibert, Luke David Rayborn,  Emmalyn Seibert, Spencer Rose Rayborn, Teddy Seibert, and expected at any moment, great great grandson, O’Ryan Grisham; and brothers, Donald (Joan) Perry of Mt. Carmel, Rator Perry of Mt. Carmel, Randy Perry of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Theren (Nancy) Perry of Ellery, Illinois

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and beloved brothers William Perry and Gary Perry, Sr.

Visitation for family and friends will be at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home May 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
