Pauline Staley

Pauline Staley, 70, of West Salem, Illinois, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Per her wishes, Pauline is being cremated and there will be no service.

On May 31, 1952, Pauline was born in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clyde Barnes and Lena May Barnes Rogers.  Surviving are her children, Danielle (Toby) Adams of West Salem, Illinois, December (Jerry) Shock of Albion, Illinois, Dana Weatherford of Fairfield, Illinois, and Charles Reynolds III of Albion, Illinois; grandchildren, Kynzlee Adams, Breeah Weatherford, Hayden Weatherford, and Logan Staton of West Salem, Elley Weatherford and Jaden Vaughan of Fairfield, Illinois, Keelyshae Mann and Damien Shock of Albion, Illinois, Jayce Shurtz of Sesser, Illinois, Wesley Reynolds of Fort Myers, Florida, and Julia Reynolds Dotson of Brownsville, Kentucky; three great grandchildren; four brothers, Eddie (Connie) Barnes of Cisne, Illinois, Ronnie (Connie) Barnes of Fordsville, Kentucky, Gary (Angela) Barnes of Magnet, Indiana, and Ricky (Tracy) Barnes of Dundee, Kentucky; six nephews and three nieces.  Preceding Pauline in death was her parents.

Pauline worked at the former Rest Haven Nursing Home in Albion, Illinois.  The greatest joy in her life was her grandchildren that called her “Nanna”.
