Nicholas Ford Obituary

Mr. Nicholas Maxwell Ford, age 34 of Calvert City, KY passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Marshall Co. Hospital, Benton, KY. 

 

Born January 30, 1986, in Mt. Carmel, IL, Nick had a servant's heart, and he worked for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department for Community Based Services, Division of Family Support. He assisted families with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in McCracken Co., KY.  Nick attended Calvert City United Methodist Church, Calvert City, KY. 

 

Left to cherish Nick's memory are his parents, Bruce and Robbin (Stuessel) Ford of Calvert City, KY; daughter, Macy Elizabeth Ford of Benton, KY; son, Max Andrew Ford of Benton, KY; brother, Zachary Ford and wife Erika (Lyles) Ford of Louisville, KY; grandparents, Evalena Ford of Allendale, IL, Ronald and Patty Stuessel of Mt. Carmel, IL; aunts and uncles, Francis and Jill Speth of Mt. Carmel, IL, Jason and Joni Stuessel of Dawson Springs, KY, Tom and Terri Ford of Mt. Carmel, IL, Robert and Connie Cusick of Allendale, IL, Lonnie and Susan Ford of Mt. Carmel, IL; plus a cousin whom he loved like a sister, Thessa (Speth) Adams of Mt. Carmel, IL. Nick was loved by many cousins, friends and co-workers. 

 

Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Max Ford of Allendale, IL. 

 

A celebration of Nick's life will be held Friday, November 6, 2020, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Short Cunningham Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, IL, with the Rev. Gary Underwood and Mike Neikirk officiating, with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. for family and close friends. 

 

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, everyone is asked to perform simple acts of kindness in Nick's memory. If possible, please post them to Nick's Facebook page. 

 

The family has requested all to follow Covid-19 guidelines for social distancing, wearing of masks and hand washing. For Visitation, please enter the building through the garage door and leave by way of the front door, follow the distancing signs.
