Maxine Page (Pilkington) Hudson

Maxine P. Hudson, 87, of Grayville, Illinois passed away November 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born on August 8, 1938, to Harold Preston Pilkington and Bonnie (Sunnling) Pilkington in Crossville, Illinois. Maxine married Cleon Hudson.

Maxine worked as a cook at many restaurants in the area. She loved spending time camping with her family and enjoyed the many family get togethers through the years. Cooking was one of Maxine’s favorite pastimes.

She is survived by her husband, Cleon and her sons, Michael Duckworth, Ronald Duckworth and James Duckworth. Also surviving are several of her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, son, Cleon Hudson, Jr., sister, Shirley Marks and brothers, George Pilkington and Harold P. Pilkington.

Per Maxine’s wishes she is being cremated and a family memorial service will follow at a later date.
