Linda Sue (Greenleaf) Davis

Linda Sue Davis, 86, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away June 13, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway in Evansville, Indiana.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Highland Memorial Cemetery, with Allan Wright officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, June 19, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home.

Linda was born to the late Sam and Pearl (Flynn) Greenleaf on April 15, 1937, in Sperry, Oklahoma. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School. Linda married Don Davis on August 27, 1955, in Keensburg, Illinois. To this union three children were born:  Rick (Rebecca) Davis of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Debbie (Lyle) Roetemeyer of White Bluff, Tennessee, and Steve Davis of Evansville, Indiana. Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Amoreena (David) Baldwin, Amber (Matt) England, Niomi (Skyler) Padgett, Carly (John) Fuller, Nick (Ella) Davis, and Jackson Davis. Along with eight great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and three brothers: Gene Greenleaf, David Greenleaf, and Bill Greenleaf.  

She worked for many years as a Hairdresser. Linda taught at Colburn Beauty School in Mt. Carmel. She also owned The Headquarters that she ran out of her home. Linda adored flowers and had so much love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
