Kevin Lee Coon

Kevin Lee Coon, 63, of Bellmont, Illinois, peacefully passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital on Thursday, July 25, 2024 with his wife and children by his side.

Kevin was born April 22, 1961, the son of Sharon (Seibert) Coon in Wabash County, Illinois. On August 17, 1983 he married Twilla Burton in Lancaster, Illinois. To this union Krystle Updike and Kris Coon were born.

Kevin graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, and Wabash Valley College with an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences and Marketing. He worked for Champion Labs Warehouse in Albion, Illinois as a Pick Cell Machine Order Filler, cleaning, running the plastic baler machine.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Twilla; daughter Krystle (Derek) Updike of Flat Rock, Illinois; and son, Kristopher (fiancé, Taunya Guthrie) of Mt. Carmel.

Kevin was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan, loved spending time outdoors and with his dogs when not enjoying time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sharon Coon; grandparents, James and Mary Seibert; infant daughter, Kristina Kay; and infant grandchild.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
