Kathy D. (Jaynes) Hayden

Kathy D. Hayden, 62, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away August 26, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee, at St. Thomas West Hospital.

She was born January 21, 1958, in Gibson County, Indiana, the daughter of Granville and Geveva (Bragg) Jaynes.  Kathy attended Wood Memorial High School in Oakland City, Indiana.  She graduated from Wabash Valley College nursing program, with a degree as a registered nurse.   Kathy worked in the ER and ICU at Wabash General Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and Gibson General Hospital.  She was an EMT for the Wabash County Ambulance Service and an advanced paramedic for Gibson County.  Kathy loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish Kathy’s memory are her children, Jason M. Hayden and Jeremy W. Hayden and his fiancé Shannon Speth, all of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Avery, Trevor, Levi, Brayden, Keegan and Savannah.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes, she was cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
