Joan Carole (Vandever) Deffendall-Lindsay

Joan Carole (Vandever) Deffendall-Lindsay left her earthly home in Titusville, Florida and joined her Heavenly family on September 1,2022. She was born April 12, 1940, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (McDowell) Vandever.

She was preceded in death by her Mother who died shortly after her birth, her Father, her Step-Mother Erma McKibben Vandever, her sister Julia Ann Puryear and her husband’s Joseph P. Deffendall (the love of her life) and Robert W. Lindsay.

Joan is survived by her nephew Tome Puryear and family of Kennewick, Washington. and her niece Karen (Ken) Stanley Dowell of Redmon, Illinois. and family.

Graveside services will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery Tuesday, September 27th at 11:00 am. There will be no formal visitation.
