Jennifer Lynn Phelps

Jennifer Lynn Phelps, 41, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at her residence.

Jennifer was born August 10, 1978, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of James and Aleta Phelps and Barbara Pullen Berry.

She was a member of Heartland Worship Center and Life Recovery.  Jennifer worked as a cashier at Borowiak’s IGA.  She was a hard worker and loving mother to her boys. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Bryson and Triston Phelps and Dayton Brimm all of Mt. Carmel; parents, James and Aleta Phelps and Barbara Pullen Berry; siblings, Timothy Burton of Princeton, Indiana, Michael Burton of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Cynthia Phelps of Princeton, Indiana, Stephanie Umfleet of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Deana Woods of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Dustin Cartwright, Amanda Andrews and Christy Phelps of Russellville, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Anna Mae Kohlbecker and Hulbert Edward Phelps and Rena Aileen Beattey.

Visitation for Jennifer will be Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Heartland Worship Center, 212 West Second Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
