Iris Marie (Utley) Hinderliter

Iris Hinderliter, 81, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 25, 1940, the daughter of George E. and Nellie Rose (Bengel) Utley, in Wabash County, Illinois. On December 31, 1957, she married Robert M. Hinderliter in Harrisburg, Illinois. Her time was well spent being a mother and homemaker.

Left to cherish Iris’ memory is her husband of 64 years, Robert, and their son Jeff (Kimra) Hinderliter.

Preceding her in death was her parents and sister, Mary Penrod.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Garden Mausoleum in Highland Memorial Cemetery, 1827 College Drive, Mount Carmel, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to Wabash County Shelter Buddies in memory of Iris. Envelopes will be available at graveside and the funeral home.
