Dustin Lee Kieffer

Dustin Lee Kieffer, 33, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Wabash General Hospital.

He was born September 25, 1986, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  His father is William “Billy” (Dawn) Kieffer and mother is Crystal Chapman (David) Sloan. 

Dustin went to Mt. Carmel High School where he enjoyed being in the wrestling program.  While serving time in prison, Dustin gave his life to the Lord.  After that, he worked every day with his dad in construction.  Dustin was an outdoorsman--fishing, mushroom hunting, 4-wheel riding and horseback riding.  Most of all, Dustin relished the time he spent with his boys. 

Left to cherish Dustin’s memory are his children, William Kieffer and Mason Kieffer and their mother, Jessica Kieffer of Keensburg, Illinois; sister, Samantha Kieffer and niece Millie Jade; sister, Madeline Kieffer and second mother, Amy Neville all of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; brother, Christian Reeves of Evansville, Indiana; sister, Savannah Sloan of Petersburgh, Indiana; maternal grandparents, Donald (Sherry) Chapman and paternal grandfather, Albert (Mary) Kieffer and grandmother, Marge Kieffer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dustin was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Marcella Chapman and uncle, Chris Kieffer.

Visitation for Dustin will be Wednesday, February 5, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Heartland Worship Center, 212 W. 2nd Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with the funeral following at Heartland Worship Center at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 1827 College Drive, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
