David Allen Reed

David Allen Reed, 65, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois passed away on July 3, 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born on May 17, 1961, in Mt. Carmel, IL. He was the son of Linden Sr. and Pearl (Lambert) Reed. He married Becky Reed.

David worked as a laborer in construction. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He attended church at Wabash Worship Center.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Perry and her fiancé Antonio Brown; his siblings, William “Bill” (Deborah) Reed, Charlotte (Dick) Lofton, and Brenda Dill; his grandchildren, Heaven Perry-Miller, Hayden Cullison, Asha Perry, River Perry, Levi Perry, Amya Scott, Ashton Scott, and Jayden Perez; and his great-grandchildren, Dallas, Braxton, and Annabelle Morrison, and Summer and Bentlee Carroll-Woods.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Linden Sr. and Pearl; his wife, Becky; his daughter, Alisha Perez; his brothers, Jeffrey Reed, Shirley Scott Reed, Richard Reed, and Linden Reed Jr.; and his sisters, Linda Peach and Darlene Askrem.

Per his wishes, David has been cremated and no services will be held at this time.
