Charles Pierce Obituary

Charles P. Pierce, 85, of Lancaster Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his residence peacefully in his sleep.

There are no services planned at this time. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Charles was born in Edwards County to Kenneth and Bernice (Macer) Pierce on September 23, 1939. He graduated from Allendale High School. He married Patty McKay on September 22, 1961, at Adams Corner Church by Pastor Earl Lytle. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Snap-On for thirty years as a supervisor.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brian (Dianna) Pierce of Mt. Carmel and Carter (Christina) Pierce of Mt. Carmel; four grandchildren, Amanda Tomes, Shelby Jones, Ally Bunting, Addy Bell; seven great grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, Theda Bradshaw, Sandra Akers, and Robert Pierce; and his best friend, “BudDog”.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patty; two sisters Debbie Pierce and Mary Pierce; and two brothers, Carl Pierce and Harold Pierce.

Charles loved to spend time with family. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He liked woodworking and had his own sawmill. He enjoyed the annual Pierce Chowder.
