Charles Gregory Miller

Charles Gregory Miller, 61, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away November 27, 2018, at the Flora Rehab and Healthcare Center.

He was born March 18, 1957, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, to Tom and Fayetta (Deisher) Miller.

Charles worked for Snap-On-Tools, retiring after 30 years of service.  He was a member of the Eagles for thirty plus years.  Charles was a lifelong Cubbies fan.  He enjoyed spending time at his family’s river camp, especially camping and fishing.

Left to honor Charles’ memory are his father, Tom Miller; siblings David Miller and his wife Debbie of Mt. Carmel and Dedra Hollen and her husband Barry of St. Francisville, Illinois; four nieces and three nephews, Amy Jo and Amber Fay (who he thought of as his own children), Jammie, Brenda, Tom, Jessie and Shane; and eleven great nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Allendale Cemetery, Allendale, Illinois.
