Charles Wade Lingo, 57, of Mount Carmel, Illinois passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel, Illinois surrounded by family.
He was born on August 3, 1964 in Winnipeg, Canada to Omer and Lucille (Sparks) Lingo. Charles attended Brownsville School and received his diploma from Mount Carmel High School. He enjoyed working as a Client of Wabash Area Vocational Enterprises. Charles thoroughly enjoyed watching Nascar with his favorite car being the #43 car driven by Richard Petty. He also liked watching wrestling and listening to Elvis. Charles was very family oriented and loved spending time with them.
Left to cherish Charles’ memory are his brothers Terry (Martha) Lingo of Mount Carmel, Illinois, Allen (Barbara) Lingo of Mount Vernon, Illinois, James (Ann) Lingo of Sesser, Illinois, and sister Marylin Vanover of Leavenworth, Indiana, along with many nieces and nephews and his 381 Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Curtis Arthur Lingo, Warren Dean Lingo, and sister Martha Stanislawski.
Visitation will be held at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Abner Cemetery in Nason, Illinois.
