Alisia Treece, 70, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025.
She was born on September 20, 1954, in Harrisburg, Illinois to Joe Oliver and Shirley (Mitchel) Oliver. She married Ronald E. Treece on July 2, 1977 at the Pentecostal church and were blessed with 48 wonderful years of marriage.
Alisia worked as a teacher’s assistant for District 348 in Mount Carmel. Her best years were spent raising her kids. She loved her family, especially her grandkids and grandpuppies. She also loved to go shopping.
Alisia is survived by her husband Ronald Treece, children; Ashley (Nic) Litherland of Mount Carmel, Jordan Treece of West Salem, grandchildren; Emersyn and Oliver, siblings; Rick (Janet) Oliver, Gary Oliver, and Christine (Terry) Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two uncles, and one aunt.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 a.m. at Short-Cunningham Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home. Burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Wabash County Shelter Buddies.
