Willadene Bernice Scaggs

Willadene Bernice Scaggs, 93, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Oakview Heights.

She was born August 31, 1924, the daughter of Clarence and Naomi G. (Stein) Seaton in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  Willadene graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1941.  On December 18, 1948, she married Wendell Scaggs in Lawrenceville, Illinois. 

Willadene was of Lutheran faith.  She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  Willadene was a fan of WVC basketball and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.

Left to cherish Willadene’s memory are her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and, siblings, Wilbert Eldon Seaton and Marjorie Folgle.

A burial service will be Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 1827 College Drive, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  Please meet at the cemetery.
