Sarah Ellen Woods

Sarah Ellen Woods, 60, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilation.

She was born April 30, 1959, in Fairfield, Illinois, the daughter of Richard A. and Deloris O. (Lane) Woods. 

Sarah was a member of the Pentecostal Faith Assembly in Friendsville, Illinois.  She was a member of the Mt. Carmel High School class of 1977 and enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates.   Sarah loved listening to live music and playing Bingo. 

Left to cherish Sarah’s memory is her mother, Deloris; daughters, Nyssa Woods and Amanda Vanderhoff and her husband Jon; God children, Kyleigh  and Jacelee Owenby; aunts, uncles and cousins.  

Sarah was preceded in death by her father.

On Friday, July 5, 2019, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. will be a visitation at Short Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00.  Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
