Penny Jo (Seaton) Keneipp

Penny Jo Keneipp, 74, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away July 22, 2019, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born June 11, 1945, in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of       Robert E. and Helen M. (Hunt) Seaton.  Penny graduated from Mt. Carmel High School.   She married Richard Keneipp, June 23, 1963, at Grace Memorial Baptist Church in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.

Penny was a member of the First Christian Church.  She worked in banking as a teller for 27 years.  Penny was a homemaker, loved to travel and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Penny’s memory is her husband of 56 years, Richard of Mt. Carmel; daughter, Kelly Houck of Inverness, Florida; granddaughter, Ashley Wise and her husband Josh of Ft. Rucker, Alabama; grandson, Justin Houck of Ocala, Florida; great-grandsons, Dawson and Kohen Wise; and, brother, Jim Seaton and his wife Tressia of Princeton, Indiana.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family may gather for visitation on Friday July 26, 2019 from 11:00a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00p.m.(Noon) in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home(527 North Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, IL) with burial following at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
