Lovilah Blood

Lovilah Blood, 83, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at Oakview Heights Continuous Care. 

Lovilah was born January 18, 1934, the daughter of Harvey Everett and Madorah (Chapman) Blood in Wabash County, Illinois. 

She worked as a bookkeeper and a caregiver many years of her life.  Lovilah was a member of the Mt. Carmel Chapter of DAR, Rebecca’s Lodge and attended Barney’s Prairie Church.

She is survived by sisters, Mary Jane Druckenbrod of Canton, Ohio, Alice Crown of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Kathryn Stout of Waterloo, Illinois; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Susan Wood.

Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings Vesta Millsap, Nolan Blood, Dale Blood, Shirley McCloud and Charles E. Blood.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Friendsville Cemetery with Pastor Ray Culver officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Barney’s Prairie Church.  Envelopes will be available at the service or at Short Funeral Home.
