Reagan William McGowan

Reagan William McGowan, 53, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short-Cunningham Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will begin before the service at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Reagan was born February 18, 1971, to William and Carol (Clark) McGowan in Harvey, Illinois. He married Melinda Szudy on July 14, 2000, at St. Stephen’s Church in Midlothian, Illinois. Surviving are his children: Megan McGowan of Midlothian, Illinois, Mitchel McGowan of Posen, Illinois, Morgan McGowan of Midlothian, Illinois, Coleman McGowan, Madison McGowan, and Mackenzie McGowan of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; six grandchildren and a brother, Ryan McGowan of Florida. Preceding Reagan in death was his father, William McGowan.

He attended Heartland Worship Center. Reagan worked at MotoRad in the conveyance department. He enjoyed playing guitar. First and foremost, he loved spending time with his family.
