Sherry Arlene Wood

Sherry Arlene Wood, 53, of Grayville, Illinois, formerly of Mt. Carmel, passed away Sunday April 10, 2016, at Meadowood Nursing Home surrounded by her family.                   

          She was born March 19, 1963, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Darvin and Ada (Harmon) Windle. 

          Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Ada Windle of Mt. Carmel; children, Joseph Eppley of Mt. Carmel and Tia Williams of Albion;  siblings, Trenia Wagner, Darrin Windle, Rona Adams of Mt. Carmel, and, Janet Wheeler of Princeton, Indiana. 

          Preceding Sherry in death was her father, Darvin Windle, grandmother, Velva Harmon, and, nephew, Justin Lofton.

          Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hope Fellowship Church, 123 West Fourth Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.

          Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions on Sherry’s behalf to Short Funeral Home to help defray expenses.
