Sherry Lynn (McCarty) Loehrlein

Sherry Lynn Loehrlein, 52, of Evansville, Indiana, walked through the pearly gates of heaven on Monday, January 23, 2017.

She was born November 11, 1964, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, the daughter of Larry and Marie (Mason) McCarty.  Sherry was a devout Christian woman and active member at Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville, Indiana. The one thing Sherry loved most in this world, the pride and joy of her life, was being a mother to three beautiful daughters who she will continue to live on through.  Sherry also had two toy poodles, Baby and Lucy, that were her other two babies.  She enjoyed cooking and baking her secret recipes for her family.  Sherry will always be remembered by all who knew her as young and gorgeous.  Even in heaven right now as an angel she is fixing her red Bite Beauty lipstick.  She was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman who helped out so many people and never once asked for anything in return. Sherry was also very passionate about gardening and tended to the intricate landscaping around the house.  Her favorite flowers to receive were fragrant Stargazer lilies.

Left to cherish her memory forever in their hearts and soul are her children, Cassandra, Cynthia and Nicole Loehrlein, of Evansville, Indiana; parents, Larry and Marie McCarty, of Grayville, Illinois; siblings, Jason (Amy) McCarty and Donna (Robert) O'Daniel, both of, Grayville, Illinois; special niece Grace McCarty; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may gather for visitation Saturday, January 28th, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Short's Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois, with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. also in the Chapel of Short's Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery, 1827 College Drive, Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
