Ricky Gene Pollard

Ricky Gene Pollard, 61, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, at his residence.

Ricky was born April 20, 1954, in Gibson County, Indiana, the son of Charles L. and Clara (Spore) Pollard. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion in Princeton, Indiana. Ricky was a tree trimmer by trade.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Ricky Norman Pollard of Grayville, Illinois; step children, Melinda (David) Gill of Tennessee and Michelle (Jerry) Allen of Owensville, Indiana; grandchildren, Andrew Lynn French, Drennan Quade Burke, Kyla Nikole Pollard, Kyle Nolan Pollard and Alicia Dawn Allen; Linda Evans Pollard, a spouse for many years; sister, Pamela Weiss of Mt. Carmel; brother-in-law, Timothy Weiss, Sr. of Mt. Carmel; nieces and nephews, Melissa (Dwayne) Dixon, Renee (Mike) Hufford, Melanie (Gary Prater) Pollard, Timothy (Heather) Weiss, Jr. and Tyler (Brittany) Weiss; special friends, Tim Sutton and Rodger Burns; several great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers, Michael Pollard and Charles Lynn Pollard.

Visitation will be Saturday, from 11:00 to 12:30 in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home, 527 N Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Maumee Cemetery at Johnson, Indiana.
