Norman Eugene Peach, 87, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Oakview Heights Continuous Care & Rehab Center surrounded by family.
He was born March 4, 1928, to Marvie and Mabel (Marlow) Peach in Friendsville, Illinois.
Norman worked for Snap-On Tools for 16 years and was a member of the International Association of Machinists, and a past member of the Moose and Eagles.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Virginia Lee, of 70 years; two sons, Terry (Connie) Peach, and Steven Peach, both of Mt. Carmel; Two grandchildren, Christina (Andy) Page of Princeton, Indiana and Terry Scott (Lesley) Peach of Greenville, Indiana, and four great grandchildren, Jacob Page and Colton Page of Princeton, Indiana and Evan and Ella Peach of Greenville, Indiana.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Marvie and Mabel, Brother Johnny R. Peach and two sisters, Melinda and Elva June Peach.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, Mt. Carmel.
Funeral service for Norman will be Tuesday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home, 527 N. Mulberry Street, Mt. Carmel, IL.
Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Oakview Heights, Wabash General Hospital and Celtic Hospice for all the loving care that Norman received.
