Kathleen Martin

Kathleen Martin, 66, of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, IN. of respiratory and heart failure.

She was born Thursday, November 24, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to Lee and Zilpha (Graeble) McCannon. She married Mike L. Martin Saturday, December 16, 1967 at the Free Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Kathy was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 48 years, Mike; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Daniel; son, Aarron Martin both of Mt. Carmel; grandchildren, James McCallister, Emily Daniel, Alyssa Martin, and Megan Daniel; great grandchild, Rayne Ellyse Nelaia; and sisters, Nancy Davis of Denver, CO, Teana Rathbun of Denver, CO, Sandy Bekaert of Tacoma, WA, and Debra Oberman of New Mexico.

Preceding Kathy  in death were her parents; brothers Raymond and Archer McCannon; sisters, Jean Roberts; Donna Roberts; Audrey McCannon; Sally Bonner and Betty Martin.

Friends and family will gather Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel.
