Delilah B (McClelan) Thompson

Delilah B. Thompson, 91, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home. She was born Tuesday, March 4, 1924 in Knox County, Indiana, the daughter of Theodore and Bertha (Leighty) McClellan.

 She has worked as a seamstress at Johnny Manufacturing, but her love was quilting and anything sewing related.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Theodore D. (friend, Glenda) Thompson of Petersburg, IN and Lester “Dutch” (friend, Sandy White) Thompson of Coal City, IN; daughters, Karen (Danny) Jackson and Deborah Jean Pachek; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren and sister Dixie Neal of Muskogee, OK.

Preceding her in death are her parents, a grandson, a granddaughter; brother, Marvin McClellan and sister, Kathleen Morgan.

Delilah’s funeral service will be Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home, Mt. Carmel, IL. There will be time for Visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Anderson Chapel Cemetery, Petersburg, IN.
