Charles R. Jones

Charles Robert (Bob) Jones, formerly of Lancaster, Illinois, passed away on September 29, 2016, at his home in Kissimmee, Florida, at the age of 78.

            He was born December 5, 1937, the son of Bradford and Rosa (Knachmus) Jones.  Bob was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.  On July 26, 1955, he married Patricia Ann Bass and she survives.

            Bob was a farmer and later worked for Disney until he retired.  He was a member of Lancaster Zion United Methodist Church.  Bob had a passion for collecting petal tractors and restoring them.  Family was important to him and he loved being a grandpa. 

            Left to cherish his memories are his wife Patricia of 61 years; six children, Linda (Mark) Brewster, Debra (Allen) Broster, John Jones, Sally (Todd) Johnson, Janice Jones and James Jones; nine grandchildren, Brandi (Brad) Neale, Chad (Ashlie) Broster, Jared (Jessica) Brewster, Joel Brewster, Tabetha (Hugo) Prudenico, Chelsea Johnson, Trenton & Dillion Jones, and Logan Jones; nine greatgrandchildren, Mallory, Estella and  Brooke Neale, Cole and Audrey Broster, Brandon, Jose, Samuel and Erica Johnson.

            Proceeding him in death were his parents; brothers William (Bill) and Richard Jones; great-grandson Miguel Johnson.

            A private graveside service will be held at Harrison Cemetery in Lancaster, Illinois. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Lancaster Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Betty Stoltz (treasurer) 20929 E. 700 Road, Mt. Carmel, Illinois  62863.
