Barbara Ann Kinney

Barbara Ann Kinney, 78, of Mt. Carmel, passed away Monday August 17, 2015 at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab in Mt. Carmel.

She was born on Thursday July 13, 1937 in East St. Louis, Illinois the daughter of Wendell and Aona (Fischer) McMahel. She married Leroy Kinney on Thursday October 29, 1953 and he preceeded her in death.

Barbara was a member and very active in the Lancaster Church of Christ as she felt church was a very important part of her life. She was also a member of the Lancaster Community Club.

Left to cherish her memories are two sons Michael and wife Robin Kinney and Richard Kinney both of Mt. Carmel, one daughter Trina and husband Jerry Hedrick of Mt. Carmel, one brother Bill McMahel of Georgia and five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 22, 2015 at 10:30 am at Rosehill Cemetery in Mt. Carmel. The family requests everyone wear casual clothing to the graveside service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Lancaster Community Club, 6496 Highway 11 Mt. Carmel IL 62863, there will also be envelopes available through the funeral home.
