Alvin "Bud" Lee Brock

Alvin Lee Brock, 80, of Albion, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center.

        He was born June 18, 1936, in Edwards County, Illinois, the son of Virgil and Edna (Stennett) Brock.  On July 16, 1956, Bud married Patricia Lee Porterfield in Edwards County, Illinois. 

          Bud was a mechanic for many years and had his own garage at his home in the later years.  He enjoyed gardening, nature and wildlife.  Bud was a member of Samaria Baptist Church and the Piqua Shawnee Indian Tribe.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

          Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Pat; children, Andrew and his wife Teresa Brock, James and his wife Myra Brock, and John and his wife Hillari Brock; grandchildren, Whitney Lynn Brock, Cheyenne D. Brock, Ashton E. Brock, Jordon Brock, Boe Cantrell and Dexter Cantrell; greatgrandchildren, Rylan, Mattingly, Hayley, Kyle and Chloe; and siblings, Ivan Brock and Nettie Brock Ile.

          Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Paul Verdane Brock and a sister, Ruby Brock Wiles.

          A memorial service will be held at a later date.
